Dorothy Marie Teer Alanis was born in Hondo, Texas, on January 30, 1952, and entered eternal rest on April 3, 2025.   The family is planning a private memorial service at a later date. John James Britsch of Shiner, passed away peacefully of natural causes on Wednesday,  April 2, 2025 in Shiner.  He was born on Oct. 17, 1945 in San Antonio.   A private family burial ceremony will be held at Freyburg Methodist Church Cemetery. A community memorial church service and celebration of life will be held on Sunday, May 4 at 2:00 p.m. at the First United Methodist Church in Shiner, with a reception following at the Methodist Church Activity Center 102 W Church St, Shiner, TX 77984.  In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Shiner FUMC Food Pantry and Guatemala Missions, by mail or online at www.shinerfumc.org. Sergeant First Class Hipolito Urrabazo Rodriguez of D’Hanis, a man of strength, kindness and unwavering devotion to his family and friends, passed away Friday, April 4, 2025.  He was born August 13, 1943, at the family home in D’Hanis.  Visitation and rosary will be held at Holy Cross Catholic Church in D’Hanis on Friday, April 11 at 6:30 p.m. A funeral mass will begin at 9:30 a.m. on Saturday, April 12 at Holy Cross, with internment at San Francisco Cemetery, D’Hanis with full military honors.
